Coming Down to Earth
Conversations from late August 2020.
Overall, there’s no air in the atmosphere right now; there’s a lot of earth. Earth is heavy, yes, but it’s also practical. Many planets are in Capricorn, with Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto. In Virgo we have the Sun and Mercury. Generally speaking, earth energy is predominant.
How can we find some air, the kind that lets us breathe, think and have ideas? This is a time to get out into nature, to meditate, to read, to listen, to talk — though in an intimate and private way, with awareness, with intention.
The situation is also leading us to take care of ourselves, because of that Sun in Virgo. Some forms of self-care: through food. It’s a period for cleansing, another way of nourishing yourself, by bringing in lighter foods that help you detox.
It’s important that you feel your body. It’s always speaking to us, until it can’t take any more and then it screams, through pain or illness, saying “I’m here, I’m your vehicle, take care of me, please!!!”
There’s a grand cardinal cross, which means a lot of tension. Sometimes that tension gives rise to courage, endurance and resilience — in other words, it means changing the foundations, and it has to do with connecting with the essential needs of our life.
The big question is where Capricorn falls in your chart, which house and which planets, because that’s where to put all your energy, where to work, where we need to lay solid foundations, which call for responsibility, discipline and perseverance.
This is a time to learn how to handle tension, pressure, stress and fatigue. It will be essential to allow yourself to balance that with moments of relaxing, connecting and breathing, because the rest of the year won’t be easy, but it will be exciting.
So take it calmly and learn to hold all this energy, but without ever stopping moving forward. Life is surely teaching us what matters, what is essential, and of course that involves transformations in the structures of your life.
Sometimes we have to see that the path is different; it may not be the flattest or most comfortable one, but if we truly hold on to our courage and bravery, the fruits will show — though, like an elaborate meal, the ingredients have to be prepared and cooked over a low flame.
Keep your spirits up and go for it with determination!
