"You Will Reap What You Sow"
Saturn Retrograde
Saturn is moving at a different pace now, slowed down, on standby, so we can give it our attention. This is a time to cultivate the inner teacher. To learn to be patient, to wait.
Saturn is a planet that sits between the personal and the transpersonal. It is the planet that rules Capricorn. It’s the planet that sets limits for us, makes us take responsibility, brings us maturity; it is pragmatic reality.
When we have integrated Saturn, we become flexible, disciplined, responsible and mature. When Saturn isn’t integrated, nothing takes hold, limits are imposed on us from outside, and we struggle to consolidate projects.
Saturn represents our Skin: the boundaries between inside and outside. Skin problems translate into issues of boundaries, rigidity or obligations.
The danger with Saturn is that it sometimes becomes calcified in structures the person has built, which give us security but also limit us. So, like all the planets, Saturn is in a constant process of evolution and learning.
Saturn is the rules and limits imposed from outside and from within, which is why they need to be reviewed and readjusted to each situation. Because security can imprison us or lock us up. The more rigidity, the more fear, the more outer hardness.
People with a strong Saturn (on the Midheaven, on the Ascendant, as ruler of the sign of Capricorn) are people who have an inner teacher. It teaches the norms, the rules, the fears, the limitations, so that they can also be transcended.
The House where Saturn sits is where we have a teacher who shows us how to negotiate or integrate, who shows us how to mature. It gives us inner authority. We may feel fear in the house where Saturn is placed, but it is also a place of deep learning.
By getting to know and integrating your Saturn, life begins to flow.
