Happy Venus!!!
Legend has it that Cupid (whose name means Desire) is the son of Venus, the Goddess of Love, Beauty and Fertility. Cupid is portrayed as a blindfolded child armed with a bow, arrows and a quiver.
So which do you celebrate — Venus or Cupid? Or Aphrodite, or an untamed, wild maiden, or the crone, or the witch, or the mother? The point is that you celebrate that you LOVE yourself, that you ACCEPT yourself, or at least that you recognize yourself, with your light and your shadows.
According to Astrology and its authors, the Moon is how we love and how we want to be loved. In men, their Venus is the woman they like and Lilith is the one who drives them crazy. This is very pigeonholing, because really, each of us has our own field of love, which is unique and unrepeatable.
This February 14, with the Moon in Scorpio and Venus in Aries, we have a Festival of Explosion, and I feel it’s a moment to get to the heart of the matter, not just the visible or superficial form. It’s a moment to question the love we believe in and the love we give ourselves.
It’s no coincidence that this occasion is celebrated in the month of Aquarius. Aquarius loves freedom; it isn’t big on commitment or on the usual format, but rather on what is innovative, independent and free.
In short, I’m getting ready to celebrate that every day, just as I breathe, just as I eat, just as I sleep, I like to devote space and time to my partner — that person you’ve chosen to be a team with, and who isn’t always easy, but who is worth it.
AMEN.
